Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Our team specializes in caring for people who have experienced a recent heart attack, congestive heart failure, and other cardiac events - as well as those who have undergone a stent procedure, coronary bypass surgery, or valve replacement.
During cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, nurses and exercise physiologists monitor vital signs, including heart rhythm blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Therapists provide individual assessments to design a program specific to each person. Our interdisciplinary team teaches patients and families how to manage their conditions conditions optimally and ameliorate future risk.
Our team also specializes in caring for people with moderate to severe COPD, recent COVID-19 infection, respiratory failure, and other pulmonary conditions. We teach patients breathing techniques that may help ease symptoms of lung disease, including shortness of breath and lack of endurance. Our overall goal is a better quality of life.
