Doctors’ Day: A time to thank and recognize Northwest Healthcare caregivers – and help our community in their honor
4/1/2025
TUCSON, AZ – The medical staff of all four Northwest Healthcare hospitals honored Doctors’ Day on March 30 by donating $15,500 to several local non-profit organizations focused on the health of underserved communities in Pima County.
Traditionally, physicians receive gifts on Doctors’ Day, but our physicians celebrate the occasion as an opportunity to give – and to surpass the $14,500 we donated on Doctors’ Day in 2024. The specific donations from each hospital are as follows:
- $6,000 to the American Cancer Society from Northwest Medical Center
- $6,000 to IMPACT of Southern Arizona from Oro Valley Hospital
- $3,500 to Casa de los Niños from NMC – Sahuarita and NMC – Houghton
Being a physician requires not only skills and expertise, but time, sacrifice, and a willingness to put others first. Our Northwest Healthcare doctors – whether in the Emergency Department, a hospital room, or an urgent, primary, or specialty care clinic – help us each and every day by providing, safe, quality, personalized care. We are deeply grateful to them for proactively creating an opportunity to give even more on Doctors’ Day.
